Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) Hiteshew Engineering Systems invites you to download the latest version of ASAD and ASADLt. These are the complete versions with no limitations. ASAD version 3 for Roadway Drainage - ASAD v3.9.2 or later NO LONGER USES HARDWARE LOCKS New Install 1) If this a new install of ASAD on a computer then download ASADV3_SETUP.ZIP into a temporary sub-directory. 2)
Unzip the file in the temporary
sub-directory. This will be exactly the same files as found on an
installation CD-Rom 3) Click on SETUP.EXE to run the automatic installation program. This will install ASADv3 into it's own subdirectory. The default is: C:/Program Files/ASADv3 4) The users manual, in pdf format, is in \the temporary sub-directory you created\Users Manual Files\ It can be printed or veiwed using Adobe Acrobat pdf reader. 5) If you have printed the Users Manual or copied to another location, then you can erase the temporary subdirectory from your disk. 6)

If this is an update to an existing ASAD
installation, simply copy the ASAD3.EXE to your computer overwriting the
existing version which is usually in the C:\Program
Files (x86)\ASADv3\ subdirectory. 2)

register the DLL's required by ASAD. Typical error: Missing MSVB****.DLL
error 1. After running Setup.exe from the ASAD installation CD or from website download 2. Download file http://www.hiteshew.com/public/ASAD_DLL.zip) into the ASAD subdirectory (probably C:\ProgramFiles (x86)\ASAD3) 3. Unzip it into the ASADv3 subdirectory (probably C:\ProgramFiles (x86)\ASAD3) (Do NOT unzip into the WINDOWS subdirectory) Read

access may not automatically be given to the ASAD.INI file. Use the following
instructions to give read/write access. 1. Use Explorer to find C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ASAD.INI. 2. If it doesn’t exist, use notepad to make an empty text file. ASAD will populate it with default data the first time it runs. 3. Right-click on the file and select Properties 4. Go to the Security tab 5. Select the user(s) and click Edit button 6.
Click Modify and the Modify and Write boxes will be
checked 7.
Done ASAD needs a Registration file to run The Registration file
(AADEPZ3.INI) can be found in one or both of the following directories: ·
C:\Windows\SysWOW64\AADEPZ3.INI or ·
C:\Users\<USER>
\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Windows\SysWOW64\AADEPZ3.INI If you don’t have a
